CodeIT congratulates Mowi on the opening of their new state-of-the-art factory at Jøsnøya.

Mowi, the world’s largest supplier of farm-raised salmon and most sustainable protein producer started work on their new factory at Jøsnøya in Norway in April 2022. It has a production capacity of 100,000 metric tons and replaces Mowi’s factory at Ulvan.

Speaking about the new facility at the groundbreaking in 2022, Olaf Skjærvik, director of Mowi Mid Region, said on their website: “This is a state-of-the-art factory built for the future. The new factory will produce high-quality seafood in a much more efficient way than we do today.”
