F-Pak
In the logistics and retail industry, particularly in Scandinavia, “F-pak” is an abbreviation for Forbrukerpakning (consumer packaging). It refers to: The smallest unit of product packaging intended for the final customer at a retail store, such as a single box of cereal, a can, or the plastic wrap around a single cucumber. Its primary purpose is to protect the item until it reaches the consumer and often includes consumer information like “best before” dates and barcodes (GTIN). It is distinct from “D-pak” (distribution packaging), which is the outer transport packaging (e.g., a cardboard box or a crate) used to bundle multiple F-paks for shipping to retailers.
