🟠 Pelagia Liavåg Upgrades Pallet Labeling Together with CodeIT for Stable, Automated Operations
When Pelagia Liavåg, a high-capacity seafood processing facility in Norway, faced aging pallet labeling equipment, reliability had become a growing concern. Two pallet labelers had reached end of life, spare parts were increasingly difficult to source, and the risk of unplanned downtime was rising.
Close Cooperation
Together with CodeIT, Pelagia Liavåg decided to replace both pallet labelers with new, modern systems and upgrade the existing software at the same time. The plant is running CodeIT Enterprise™, a hardware-independent software platform that centrally controls pallet labeling logic and data. This made it possible to replace end-of-life hardware without changing workflows, integrations, or operator routines—significantly reducing risk and complexity during the upgrade.
The installation was carefully planned and scheduled for days without fish processing to eliminate production risk. Two CodeIT technicians were on site, supported by one remote specialist. The installation was completed without any issues and delivered exactly as planned.

Although there was no active pallet marking during the installation days, CodeIT followed up closely when production resumed. Knowing precisely when labeling would start again, the team ensured everything worked as intended under real operating conditions. Pelagia Liavåg was also encouraged to contact CodeIT immediately if any questions or issues should arise, providing additional reassurance during the transition.
