CodeIT Group achieves ISO 9001 certification
CodeIT Group is certified to ISO 9001
From startup to growing, professional supplier: CodeIT Group has achieved certification to ISO 9001, the international standard for quality management. The certification covers the company's entities in Norway and Sweden and was carried out by Intertek. Next up is ISO 27001 for information security.
Quality customers can rely on
CodeIT Group delivers software for OEE, production management, traceability and marking to manufacturers in food, seafood, wood, industry and energy. More customers require their suppliers to be certified to ISO 9001. With the certification in place, CodeIT can now document that the company works to clear goals, established routines and controlled processes.
"Our customers have asked for this for a long time, and many make it a requirement. We have been honest about where we stood in the process all along. Now we can show that we deliver quality in a controlled way, and that customers can rely on us no matter who is at work."

The work has involved the whole organization. Each clause of the standard was handled as a project of its own, with process owners, internal audits and shared processes for the offices in Norway and Sweden. The goal is for both countries to work the same way, so customers get the same quality wherever the delivery comes from.
"This is our journey from startup to a professional, growing company. But the certificate is not a finish line. This is where the real work begins, with annual audits, follow up on nonconformities and continuous improvement," says Elin.
Auditor: A robust foundation
The certification was carried out by Intertek. Lead auditor Roger A. Olavsen highlights both the structure and the engagement across the organization:
"Through the initial ISO 9001 certification process, I have seen an organization that has established a solid system structure and a clear implementation of its work processes. The competence of its employees is strong, and the involvement and engagement across the organization have been very positive. The organization has clear goals and a good strategic direction, and the plans in place for further development show both maturity and ambition. This provides a robust foundation for continuous improvement and further strengthening of the quality management system."
Next step: ISO 27001
CodeIT has already started working toward ISO 27001, the standard for information security, aiming for certification around the end of the year. For customers, this adds further assurance that both their data and CodeIT's are handled securely.
"Customers should be able to trust that we actually deliver what we say, and that their data is safe with us. ISO 27001 is the natural next step," says Elin.
